My auctions have slowed down!!! BOOHOO

Postby jenico on Mon Apr 19, 2004 7:22 pm

I have been doing this for a few month s and up until a week ago I have been selling 90% of what I put on and now I have items on and no bids . Is this a slow time of year or what I was told it should be up time because of tax checks.
oh well.
The fees for these no selling auctions will eat up the profits from the last few auctions i did sale.

my id is jenico55 on ebay if you would go and see why I am not selling.
thank you

Sorry to hear your auctions are slow. Mine have been just the opposite...with prices really going high for some items!

That is great! I hope mine will pick back up my post office was beginning to know me I had to go there about 3-4 times a week to send packages and now I haven't been in about a little over a week. I know it will get better I just need to take the bad times with the good.

Hang in there Jeni,

Ebay is cyclical for some items , it just depends on what you are selling. I tried sellin a big item 3 months ago and couldn't get 2000.00 for it now it's at 3700.00.

Go figure,

It will come around again. I will take a look at your items and see if I have a thought to changes they might need

Hi Jeni,

I do have a few things you may want to look at in the descriptions and such.

1.
need better descript. people usually buy more if the measurements are there nad the info such as maker, year, color, length, width and condition are all written out.

2.
the regular info could be farther down on the page, many people think of these things as negatives and if they are so close to the info it can subconsiously gibe them a negative feeling about the auction.

3. try to put things such as your return policy in the lower end of the info.

Maybe think about those things and see if it helps.

Best of Luck to you! :bunny: :butterfly:

Thank you so much for the advice . you are right the shipping stuff overpowers the description.
I am revising them as we speak.
thank you

Oh yeah and you are right about some things selling good one time and not another 2 months ago I sold 3 pampered chef cookie molds for about $20 each and I have another one on and have no bids and barely anyone looking at it.

If you go to the ebay community you will see that ALOT of sellers are having the same gripe and that they think it is because ebay changed their search to where it used to show newly listed items it now shows ending items first so now people who are searching do not see your auction until it is about to end!!!
